Lee Hicks began practicing law in 2002 at McClure, Ramsay, Dickerson, and Escoe, LLP in Toccoa. He defended insurance companies and their insureds in suits brought by people hurt because of negligent conduct. Lee became a partner there in 2006, and participated in over twenty-five jury trials and handled more than fifteen cases on appeal, all in both state and federal courts.

In 2009, Lee decided to start representing plaintiffs (or those injured by negligent conduct) and moved his practice to Hartwell and formed Moore & Hicks, P.C. There, he began representing victims of negligence in automobile wrecks, premises liability, medical malpractice, and dog bite cases. During his time in Hartwell, Lee recovered more than $12 million for clients who were seriously injured by negligent conduct. In 2018, Mr. Hicks formed his own practice, now known as The Hicks Law Firm, LLC. and move back to Toccoa. Lee's practice is exclusively focused on representing those seriously injured in automobile wrecks, premises cases, medical malpractice, and dog bites.
